What is the Screenshot app on macOS?

The Screenshot app is macOS's built-in tool for taking still screenshots and recording your screen, opened with Shift-Command-5.

Introduced in macOS Mojave (10.14, 2018), it replaced the older Grab utility and combines three capture modes with two recording modes in one panel (Apple Support).

Details

You can also open it from Launchpad (Other folder) or by searching Screenshot in Spotlight.
